How it works

You get the number first. Then you decide.

Most companies make you sit through a sales visit before anyone will tell you what something costs. We flipped that around.

01

Tell us about the job

Two minutes of real questions — not "name and number, we'll call you." The more we know, the better the contractor who takes it.

02

Approve the price

We measure what we can from satellite, apply real local pricing, and show you a range. Nothing goes to a contractor until you look at that number and say yes.

03

Pick your day

Choose a date and a morning or afternoon window. We hold that slot with one local contractor, who calls ahead to confirm.

Your phone number goes to one contractor.

You've probably filled out a "free quote" form before and then had your phone ring for a week straight. That happens because most sites sell your information to five, six, seven companies at once — they get paid more the more people they sell it to.

We don't work that way. Nobody hears from us until you've seen your price and booked a time — and then it's one contractor, exclusively. That's the entire product.

The honest version

Why is this free?

The contractor pays, not you

Good contractors spend real money trying to find customers. We bring them a homeowner who already knows what the job costs, has agreed to that range, and has a time on the calendar — so they pay us for the appointment. You pay nothing, ever, and you're never obligated to hire anyone who shows up.

Which is why we only send one

Because a contractor is paying for an exclusive introduction, they actually show up and compete for your job. When a lead gets sold to seven companies, none of them try very hard — they're all assuming they've already lost. Exclusivity is what makes the difference.

Questions

The things people ask us.

Is it actually free, or is there a catch?

Actually free. You never enter a card and you're never billed. The contractor who takes your job pays us for the introduction, the same way they'd pay for advertising. If you decide not to hire anybody, that's fine — nothing happens.

How many companies will call me?

One. That's the whole point of how we're built. If more than one contractor contacts you about a job you submitted through us, tell us — that means something went wrong on our end and we want to know.

Who are these contractors?

Licensed, insured local companies who bid on work in your area through Blitz, the marketplace we sell appointments on. Licensing and insurance are verified there before a contractor can bid, and you'll get the company's name and details before they arrive.

What actually happens at the appointment?

A licensed local contractor comes out inside the window you picked — morning is 9am–1pm, afternoon is 1pm–5pm — and calls ahead before heading over. They inspect the job, confirm the exact figure, and answer your questions. You are free to say no afterwards; there's no deposit and nothing to sign to get them there.

Can I change or cancel the time?

Yes, any time, at no cost. Reply to your confirmation email or text and we'll move it. We'd just rather know before the contractor is on the road.

How accurate is the price estimate?

It's a real range, not a lowball hook — built from measurements and local material and labor pricing. But it isn't a bid. Once a contractor sees the job in person, things like rotted decking, old wiring, or access problems can move the number. The point is that you know the ballpark, and have agreed to it, before anyone is standing in your driveway.

How do you measure my roof or pool without coming out?

Aerial survey data. For roofing we pull the actual roof geometry — surface area and slope, plane by plane — from Google's aerial imagery of your address. For pools you outline the water on a satellite photo and we calculate surface area and volume. It's genuinely accurate, and it takes you about ten seconds.

What if I have an emergency right now?

Start the plumbing or HVAC form and pick the emergency option on the first screen — it short-circuits the rest of the questions and routes you immediately, ahead of the normal booking calendar. If you have active flooding, shut off your main water valve first, then come back.

Where do you operate?

We're live in a handful of states and adding more as we bring on contractors. Enter your address and we'll tell you straight away whether we can help — if we can't yet, we'll let you know when we can.
